Doctoral Study Management of Sustainable Development is a unique doctoral program in Croatia that combines specific knowledge and methodology for research and expert management of sustainable development, respecting the interdisciplinary nature of the topic. The program has three modules: Management of sustainable tourism development, Regional and local sustainable development, and Entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
Upon completion of the study the academic degree Doctor of Science (Ph.D.) in the area of social sciences, field of economics is acquired. The topicality of the study content and research topics allows participants to further develop their careers at institutions of higher education and institutes after its completion, but also enables career advancement in business, public institutions, local government and other management organizations. The structure and content of the study program allow for individual adaptation to the interests of each participant. Participants have the opportunity to attend international scientific conferences, as well as numerous workshops and seminars organized by the faculty to strengthen their competencies and knowledge. Participants with no previous education in economics can also enroll in the program (with the completion of differential exams).

Admission requirements
- the program is open to students with prior economic education, as well as those without prior economic education (with the completion of differential exams)
- a GPA of 3.6 or higher is required.
- a recommendation from at least one university professor is required
- good knowledge of English and computer skills are required
- a research topic proposal is required
- a positive interview with the Admissions Committee is required
